Up for sale is a Vintage Rolex Art Deco Cocktail Watch Buckle with Original Fabric Strap, removed from an antique Rolex cocktail watch dating to the 1920s. Featuring an elegant engraved Art Deco floral design, this beautiful period buckle remains fitted to its original fabric strap, making it an exceptionally scarce surviving accessory from the early days of Rolex.
Although this buckle was removed directly from an original 1920s Rolex watch, it was likely not manufactured by Rolex themselves. During this era, Rolex commonly outsourced components such as buckles, bracelets, and other accessories to local jewelers, watchmakers, and specialist manufacturers. This was standard practice at the time, making original companion pieces such as this both historically correct and highly collectible.
The original fabric strap is still attached but has been cut and is no longer usable, so it should be replaced before use. The buckle itself remains in good antique physical condition with honest signs of age and wear consistent with being approximately 100 years old. It would make an excellent restoration piece and can easily be transferred to a new period-correct fabric strap.
The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase.
This is an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire an authentic period Rolex companion accessory that will likely not become available again anytime soon.
