Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko 5 Sports Speedtimer 7015-8000 men’s automatic chronograph watch from the 1970s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This highly collectible Speedtimer features classic 1970s Seiko sports styling, a distinctive blue dial with blue and orange accents, day-date display, and Seiko’s automatic chronograph movement. The watch is being sold for parts and repair as the chronograph mechanism is currently not operating properly and will require attention. Despite the chronograph issue, the watch itself is running and holding accurate time over a 24-hour period. It is being sold as is and unrestored, and I will leave any servicing or repair of the chronograph mechanism to the buyer. Additionally, one of the spring bars has broken off, leaving a portion of the spring bar wedged inside one of the lug holes. As shown in the close-up photos, this prevents another bracelet or strap from being properly attached at this time. I have not attempted to extract the broken piece and will leave it up to the buyer to attempt the repair and free the obstructed lug hole. The watch is in good vintage physical condition overall with signs of use and age throughout. There are scratches, marks, and general cosmetic wear consistent with a watch of this age.
