► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Illinois Watch Company Model 616 Men’s Classic Art Deco 14K Gold Filled 15 Jewel Dress Watch, dating to the 1920s. This is a beautifully styled early Art Deco wristwatch with strong period character and excellent wrist presence. The watch is running and holding accurate time. One of the most impressive features is the unique textured dial, which has a subtle shimmering, sparkly effect in natural light that the camera does not fully capture. The dial is complemented by bold stylized Arabic numerals, elegant blued steel hands, and a recessed sub-seconds register at 6 o’clock. The overall aesthetic is refined, balanced, and unmistakably Art Deco. The interior caseback is stamped Keystone Watch Case – Model No. 616 – 14K Gold Filled, confirming quality gold-filled construction. The movement is signed Illinois Watch Co., marked 15 Jewels, and features classic decorative finishing consistent with quality Illinois wristwatch movements of the era. The watch is fitted with a high-end black leather strap, which pairs nicely with the classic styling. The watch is in very good physical condition for its age, showing signs of use and age consistent with a vintage timepiece. Photos best describe its physical condition.
