Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Casio W-770 men’s digital sports watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s and powered by Module 548. This model is one of Casio’s most elusive early sports designs and is widely regarded as a foundational reference that influenced the later evolution of the G-Shock line.
The watch is in full working condition, with all features and functions operating properly, including timekeeping, alarm, chronograph, and backlight. Notably, this example retains fully functioning sound, which is highly uncommon for this module and a known weak point on most surviving W-770s.
All parts of the watch are original, including the stainless steel bracelet. The watch shows signs of use and age, consistent with its vintage nature, and the photos best describe its physical condition.
This is an exceptionally rare and highly desirable Casio, seldom seen on the market—especially in complete, fully functional condition. A true centerpiece for serious Casio collectors and vintage digital watch enthusiasts, and a historically important design in Casio’s sports watch lineage.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio brought an electronics company's imagination to the wrist, moving from calculators to the calendar-equipped Casiotron in 1974. G-Shock toughness, Databank utility, and affordable icons such as the F-91W turned the company into a digital-watch giant whose early modules and resin-cased designs are now a distinct collecting field.
