This model was produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the early-to-mid 1990s and was purpose-built for sailing and water sports, offering specialized features like countdown start timing and tack-angle indicators. The watch is in full working condition — all features and functions operate properly, including timekeeping, countdown timer, sailing modes, alarm, and audible chime. It is 100% original, including the factory Casio resin strap printed with model-specific “ALARM” and “CHRONO” markings. Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year.
