► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare and highly collectible vintage Casio Pro Trek men’s digital sports watch, model PRT-600, equipped with Module 1571 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1990s. This early-generation Pro Trek features Casio’s signature Triple Sensor technology, combining altimeter, barometer, and thermometer functions in a rugged Pathfinder-branded case. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly, including timekeeping, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, stopwatch, alarm, and auto light switch. The sound is loud and responsive, and all buttons function as intended. All parts of the watch are original, including the unique dual-finish band with stitched leather segments and stainless steel links. The watch also comes complete with its original Japanese instruction manual and original belt-loop clip-on accessory, which are rarely found together and add significant collector value. Cosmetically, the watch is in very good physical condition with signs of use consistent with age. Please note that the watchband is beginning to deteriorate from age and may need to be replaced in order to be worn, which is common for original bands from this era. The photos best describe the watch’s physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
