► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Seiko Le Vent Crescent Moon Quartz dress watch, reference 1F20-56JA, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1990s. This highly distinctive model was created in collaboration with legendary Japanese supermodel Sayoko Yamaguchi and stands as one of the most unconventional and artistic designs ever released by Seiko.
This example features a beautiful blue dial with celestial-inspired elements, perfectly complementing the iconic asymmetrical crescent-shaped gold-tone case that defines the Le Vent series. The sculptural case design and unique dial layout give the watch a striking presence while maintaining an elegant and wearable profile.
The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions are operating properly. Timekeeping is accurate and the movement performs as intended.
This watch is new old stock (NOS) and comes complete with its original box, original manual, and hang tag. I am unsure if the hang tag is original to this watch, as I am having difficulty confirming the reference number shown on the tag. All parts of the watch itself are original, including the Seiko signed leather strap.
The watch shows signs of handling and storage, which can be seen in the photos. Additionally, the band is beginning to show its age and may need to be replaced down the line. For these reasons, the watch is being listed as new with imperfections, and the photos best describe its physical condition.
The case measures approximately 21mm x 37mm, making it a versatile size suitable as a men’s dress watch or a larger women’s watch.

► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY
Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
