Up for sale is a NOS rare vintage Casio Data Bank Illuminator ABC-30 men’s calculator ana-digi sports watch, powered by Module 2332 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1990s. This highly unique model combines analog timekeeping with digital functionality and an integrated calculator keypad, making it one of Casio’s more distinctive and innovative designs from the era. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly as intended, including timekeeping, calculator functions, and display operations. All parts of the watch are original. The watch comes complete with its original hang tag. The watch is in near mint physical condition, showing only the lightest signs of handling over the years. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. The keypad is intact and currently functions properly; however, it appears delicate in nature. While there are no current issues, it is worth noting that with consistent use over time, the keypad material may be prone to deterioration. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
