► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare Casio Basketball GF-1 men’s vintage digital game watch, powered by Module 209 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. The GF-1 is one of Casio’s most distinctive and highly sought-after early game watches, featuring colorful basketball-themed graphics and an integrated electronic basketball game. Among collectors of vintage Casio game watches, this model is considered a true holy grail and is exceptionally difficult to find, especially in such a complete and well-preserved example. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions of the watch are working properly. All parts of the watch are original, including the original Casio leather strap. Particularly noteworthy, the watch also comes with its original Casio hangtags and original manual, making this an exceptionally complete surviving example. It should be noted that the original leather band is beginning to deteriorate from age and has become somewhat flaky. I have intentionally not replaced the band in order to preserve the complete originality of the watch. Due to its age and current condition, the original strap should be handled with care. The LCD has slight screen bleed present around the edges. This does not affect the functionality of the watch, and the display remains clearly visible and usable. Please review the photos carefully for the condition of the LCD. The watch is in great physical condition with signs of handling and age. The colorful basketball-themed dial graphics remain exceptionally well preserved and display beautifully. The photos best describe the overall physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. Finding a GF-1 is difficult in any condition, but an example retaining its original Casio leather strap, original hangtags, and manual is particularly special. The original strap has deliberately been left in place despite its age-related deterioration in order to keep the watch as original as possible. With its full functionality, remarkable completeness, and iconic basketball graphics, this is an outstanding piece for a serious vintage Casio or early digital game watch collection. Ships carefully.
