Up for sale is a rare vintage Citizen Crystal Seven 21 Jewel automatic men’s dress sports watch, reference ACSS 2815-Y, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1970s. The Crystal Seven line remains one of Citizen’s most popular vintage automatic series, known for its reliable movements, distinctive styling, and excellent value among collectors of classic Japanese watches.
The watch is in full working condition and is running and holding accurate time over a 24-hour period.
The watch is fitted with a genuine Citizen stainless steel bracelet. While I am unsure if the bracelet is original to the watch, it matches the watch well and complements its vintage design. All other parts of the watch are original.
The watch is in good physical condition with signs of use and age consistent with a vintage timepiece. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CITIZEN — BRAND HISTORY
Citizen traces to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in Tokyo in 1918. Its first product, a pocket watch completed in 1924, was christened CITIZEN, a name encouraged by Tokyo mayor Shinpei Goto in the hope that the watch would be close to the hearts of ordinary people. Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930, and through the postwar decades it grew into one of the two pillars of Japanese watchmaking alongside Seiko, eventually ranking among the largest watch producers in the world.
