Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Casiotron Calendar 200 men’s digital wristwatch, reference 47CS-23, from the 1970s. Produced exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM), the Casiotron series is historically significant as Casio’s pioneering digital watch line, introducing advanced calendar and timekeeping functions well ahead of its era.
This example is powered by Casio’s early digital module and is in full working condition—all functions operate properly, including timekeeping and calendar display.
All parts of the watch are 100% original, including the stainless steel case, bracelet, and signed Casio clasp. Impressively, the watch even retains its original clear caseback protective sticker—an extremely rare detail that adds to its collectability.
Cosmetically, the watch is in great physical condition for its age, showing only minimal signs of use. Please carefully review the photos, as they best describe its actual condition.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
