► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Seiko Super Chronometer 1727 men’s manual wind classic dress sports watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1950s. The Super Chronometer represents an especially interesting period in Seiko’s early mechanical watchmaking history, combining distinctive mid-century styling with a specially adjusted Seikosha manual wind movement.
The watch is in full working condition and is running and holding accurate time over a 24-hour period.
All parts of the watch are original. The Seikosha movement is marked “Three 3 Adjusted,” reflecting the higher-grade adjustment associated with this early Seiko Chronometer model.
The watch features a beautifully aged dial with a combination of Arabic numerals and applied hour markers, an outer scale, gold-tone hands, and a contrasting red center detail. The naturally developed patina gives the watch an unmistakable vintage appearance.
The watch has signs of use and age consistent with its vintage nature. The case and dial display age-related wear and patina from decades of use. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully by interested buyers.
