► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Weather Station Barometer BM-500W men’s digital sports watch, a Japan Domestic Market (JDM) release from the late 1980s powered by Module 923. This model is especially popular with collectors because it predates the G-Shock line, and many of the design cues and functional features later seen in early G-Shock models were directly inspired by this watch. Part of Casio’s innovative “Weather Station” series, the BM-500W combines rugged styling with advanced technology for its time, including a barometer function alongside Casio’s full suite of digital timekeeping tools. The watch is in full working condition and all features operate properly, including timekeeping, alarm, stopwatch, calendar, and barometer. I am unsure if the band is original to the watch or not. The watch remains in good physical condition overall, showing signs of use consistent with age. Please review the photos carefully, as they best describe its condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio brought an electronics company's imagination to the wrist, moving from calculators to the calendar-equipped Casiotron in 1974. G-Shock toughness, Databank utility, and affordable icons such as the F-91W turned the company into a digital-watch giant whose early modules and resin-cased designs are now a distinct collecting field.
