► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio DW-340 men’s digital diver sports watch, a Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model from the early 1990s, powered by Module 1000. Designed as a professional-grade diver’s digital watch, the DW-340 is rated to an impressive 300M water resistance, making it one of Casio’s standout sports models of the era. The watch is in full working condition, with all features and functions operating properly, including timekeeping, alarm, chronograph, and backlight. It is currently fitted with an aftermarket strap, though it retains the original bold diver styling with its rugged resin case, stainless steel back, and distinctive 300M bezel markings. The watch has signs of use, but the photos best describe its physical condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
