Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio W-91 men’s digital sports watch, powered by Module 935 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1980s. This is a highly unusual and seldom-seen Casio model that represents Casio’s classic early digital sports watch designs from its golden era.
The watch is being sold for parts and repair as one of the case lugs is broken and a band can no longer be securely attached to the watch. Despite this issue, the module itself is in full working condition and all features and functions of the watch are working properly. Timekeeping, display, modes, and button operation all function as intended.
All parts of the watch are original. The watch shows signs of use and age and the photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully.
This is a perfect watch for someone in need of a working module for parts on a very rare and hard-to-find Casio model. Watches of this type are seldom encountered today, making it an excellent opportunity for a collector or restorer looking for original components.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
