► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio AE-71 men’s digital alarm chronograph sports watch from the 1980s, powered by Module 188 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This model features Casio’s early ana-digi style layout with a unique combination of analog-style display and digital functionality, representing the brand’s innovative design approach during the era.
The watch is being sold for parts or repair. It is currently not functioning and has been completely untested. The display shows heavy screen bleed, which is very noticeable. Due to this and the lack of testing, it is unknown what the exact issue is or whether the watch can be repaired.
The watch does not come with a strap.
The watch shows signs of use and age consistent with a worn vintage watch. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
