► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
This beautiful antique Rolex cocktail watch is a timeless classic, ideal for watch collectors and vintage enthusiasts alike. With its distinctive design and refined craftsmanship, this piece embodies true early 20th-century elegance and Art Deco charm.
This particular example stands out for its unusually large 30mm case size, as most cocktail watches of the era were considerably smaller—typically around 24–26mm. The bold proportions, paired with the exquisite white enamel Roman numeral dial featuring a striking red “XII,” give this watch exceptional presence and rarity.
Adding further historical appeal is its original presentation box from F. Hallett, a respected Goldsmith and Silversmith located at 28 Railway Street, Altrincham, England. F. Hallett was a well-regarded regional jeweler in the early 20th century, known for offering quality timepieces and fine jewelry. The survival of the original fitted box enhances both the provenance and collectibility of this piece.
The watch is currently running; however, it is losing approximately 30 minutes to an hour and a half over a 24-hour period. It will require servicing in order to keep more accurate time. As with most antique mechanical watches of this age, a service should be expected for optimal performance.

Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos.
Note: The watch is sold as-is in vintage condition. Given its age and current timekeeping variance, servicing is recommended for optimal performance.
► ARCHIVE FILE: ROLEX — BRAND HISTORY
Rolex began in London in 1905, when Hans Wilsdorf and his brother-in-law Alfred Davis founded Wilsdorf & Davis to case Swiss movements for the British market. Wilsdorf registered the Rolex name in 1908, choosing it because it was short, easy to pronounce in any language, and fit neatly on a dial. He then set about proving that wristwatches, still dismissed as jewelry, could be precision instruments: a Rolex earned the first chronometer certificate granted to a wristwatch in 1910, a Kew Class A certificate followed in 1914, and the firm moved to Geneva in 1919.
