► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Timex Skiathlom Chill Factor men’s digital ski watch from the 1980s. Designed for winter sports enthusiasts, this highly distinctive model features a built-in thermometer with a dedicated chill factor scale, allowing skiers to quickly estimate the effects of wind and temperature while outdoors. Combined with its bold asymmetrical case, oversized multi-color pushers, and unmistakable 1980s styling, it is one of the most unusual and collectible vintage Timex sports watches ever produced. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly, including the time, calendar, alarm, chronograph, and thermometer. All parts of the watch are original except for the aftermarket replacement strap, as the original has deteriorated from age. The watch is in very good vintage physical condition with signs of use and age. The photos best describe its cosmetic condition and should be reviewed carefully by interested buyers. The aftermarket replacement strap has been specially made to fit the Skiathlom’s unique case and lug configuration, allowing the watch to be worn comfortably while preserving the original look of the watch. This is an exceptionally hard-to-find vintage Timex and a standout collector’s piece for enthusiasts of vintage digital watches, ski watches, and iconic 1980s designs. Fully functional examples are rarely offered for sale, making this an outstanding addition to any serious collection. Ships carefully and securely. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: TIMEX — BRAND HISTORY

Timex descends from the Waterbury Clock Company, founded in 1854 in Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley, a region so dense with clockmakers it was called the Switzerland of America. Waterbury helped invent the cheap, honest American watch: the Ingersoll Yankee of 1896, built by Waterbury and sold for one dollar, was advertised as the watch that made the dollar famous, and the Mickey Mouse watch of 1933 sold so well it pulled the company through the Depression.
