► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Data Bank Telememo 50 DB-520 men’s digital sports watch, powered by module 675 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This highly collectible early Casio Data Bank model features Telememo 50 functionality and classic angular styling representative of Casio’s innovative digital watch designs from the era. The watch is being sold for parts and repair as it is currently not functioning and completely untested, so it is unknown what the issue is or if it can be fixed. Please note that one of the pushers is missing and should be clearly noted prior to purchase. All parts of the watch are original. The watch shows signs of use and age consistent with a vintage timepiece. Photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully by interested buyers. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
