► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio AW-594 World Cup USA ’94 men’s ana-digi sports watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1990s. This special-edition model was released to commemorate World Cup USA 1994, featuring the official tournament mascot and branding across the strap and case — making it one of the most collectible Casio sports releases of the era. The watch is being sold strictly for parts or repair. A new battery was inserted, but the watch did not power on. No further testing or diagnosis has been performed, so the underlying issue is unknown, and the watch should be assumed to require repair. All parts of the watch are 100% original, including the case, buttons, dial, hands, and the special edition strap with the USA ’94 mascots and markings. Physically, the watch is in good vintage condition, showing signs of use and aging consistent with a 1990s sports watch. The strap and printed graphics remain intact and well-preserved. The photos best describe its physical condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
