► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare and highly collectible Casio QL-10 calculator lighter, a Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model from the early 1980s. This piece is widely regarded as one of the true “holy grails” of vintage Casio electronic collectibles, combining a fully functional calculator with an integrated butane lighter in a sleek, compact design. This example is in true new old stock (NOS) condition. It has never been used prior to my ownership, and I was the first to install fresh batteries and fill the lighter for testing purposes. All features and functions of the calculator are working properly, and the lighter ignites and operates exactly as it should. The set includes the original Casio presentation box and the original operation manual, which is rarely seen together, especially with a piece in this level of preservation. Physically, the unit remains in mint condition with no signs of prior use. The photos best describe its physical condition and show the full completeness of the set. This is one of the most unique and unconventional products Casio has ever produced, and examples almost never surface for sale—especially complete with box, manual, and in this condition. Key Details: • Brand: Casio • Model: QL-10 • Era: Early 1980s • Market: Japan Domestic Market (JDM) • Functions: Calculator + Integrated Lighter • Condition: Mint NOS condition, tested only • Accessories: Original box and operation manual included • Working Status: All calculator functions working properly, lighter fully operational A true collector-grade piece and standout addition to any serious Casio or vintage electronics collection. Ships carefully. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
